March is Nutrition Month - "So Much More Than Food"

Healthy eating is the cornerstone of managing diabetes, yet, we can get lost in all the nutrition information floating around on social media, print publications or the evening news.  Try to let go of the trendy diets and find your own “healthy”.  It may come from your ancestral roots and culture, what you have learned from your family and experiences growing up, or what you have learned from your own journey in managing your health.  There is no such thing as one ‘ideal’ way of eating for everyone.  Collaborate with your health care team and dietitian to develop a healthy eating pattern that works for you.
