It is recommended that people with diabetes should pay special attention to their mouth, teeth and gums.  People with diabetes are at higher risk of developing gum disease, cavities and infections.

Ontario Works (OW)
OW provides emergency and select dental care for adult clients and their dependent children 18 years and older

Healthy Smiles Ontario
This program provides free regular dental services for children and youth who do not have any type of dental coverage. If you qualify for the program, your child will receive free regular services at any participating dental provider or dentist. Services include: regular cleanings, filings, x-rays, scaling and all other services previously covered by CINOT. Orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry are not covered. Contact your local Public Health Unit for more information and to see if you are eligible.
