Group Lifestyle Balance Program™
A FREE program called "Group Lifestyle Balance Program" is being offered in the Waterloo Wellington region for people with prediabetes or who are at high risk for developing diabetes. This program is a 22 week program designed after the Diabetes Prevention Program developed by University of Pittsburgh. Dial It Down- Relaxation and Stress Management
During this free, 5 week program you will get the opportunity to practice and develop strong skills in releasing body tension, calming and focusing the mind. Techniques are especially helpful in the self-regulation of headaches, muscle tension, insomnia, pain, anxiety, and panic attacks.

Diabetes Fit
This FREE exercise program is for adults at risk of, or diagnosed with prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It is a12-week program with 2 sessions per week, led by YMCA certified exercise professionals. Sessions include education and exercise designed to help you get started with exercise and healthy eating.

100 Years of Insulin: Celebrating its impact on our lives
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the discovery of insulin. To mark this occasion the Banting & Best Diabetes Centre, Diabetes Action Canada, and the University of Toronto Department of Medicine have brought together a group of speakers to share their diabetes stories.
